Where do I sell?
You can visit MAF City Center Mirdif Mall and locate The Luxury Closet kiosk inside the mall Every Saturday From 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM (per Mall timings )The Luxury Closet Team at the kiosk will help you in viewing and receiving your items . Alternatively, if you want to sell your item(s) from the comfort of your home, may sign up and create an account on The Luxury Closet's website or app, then proceed to uploading the photos of your items that you wish to sell along with their details.
How do I sell?
At the kiosk, the concierge will help you in creating an online profile on The Luxury Closet. It is a simple, 30 second process where you provide us your basic information. The concierge will then ask you to handover the item, provide an initial quality check and give you a payout range for your item (only selected brand list of items are eligible for instant pricing). Once you accept the payout for the item, the concierge will accept your item and give you a receipt for your item. If you have submitted your item details online, we will get back to you with a tentative quote in 2-3 business days.
** Items that are from brands excluded from the list of instant pricing, will be submitted on your account and a price quotation will be provided within 2-3 business days .
What happens after I have submitted my item(s)?
After dropping off your item(s) at the kiosk, the team will carefully wrap your item(s) and have them transported to our warehouse facility. Should you upload your items' details online, The Luxury Closet will schedule for a pickup once you approve the proposed quotations. At the warehouse, your item(s) will be processed by our team to be listed on our website. Your item(s) firstly undergo professional cleaning before our authentication experts examine their condition and authenticity. Afterwards, item(s) are then photographed as per strict guidelines to reveal their best and truthful image for future prospective buyers. Once photography is finalized, our team of content writers provide the item(s) with a background story and unique details. Lastly, your item(s) will be listed on The Luxury Closet's website and are made available for all users to view and purchase. In the meantime, all items are carefully packaged and stored under temperature controlled conditions.
How much time does it take for my item(s) to be listed on the platform/website?
From the day you drop off your item(s) at the kiosk till the day the item(s) are listed on The Luxury Closet’s platform, the process takes upto 7-10 business working days.
Is my item safe in your warehouse?
Definitely! The Luxury Closet securely stores all items in its warehouse facility in safes and lockers in a temperature controlled environment. Additionally, the facility is equipped with CCTV cameras to monitor all inbound and outbound movements of the items.
Is my item insured?
Certainly! Each and every consigned merchandise received by The Luxury Closet, has adequate insurance coverage including risks of fire, flood, theft and damage.
What category of items can I sell?
The Luxury Closet accepts items from the following categories: handbags, shoes, watches, clothes, fine jewelry, travel essentials and accessories.
Which brands do you accept?
We accept High end luxury brands, including but not limited to Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Burberry, Fendi, Dior, Hermes, Valentino, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, Tod's, Saint Laurent Paris, Christian Louboutin, Cartier, Bvlgari, Rolex and more . When do I get paid?
The Luxury Closet agrees to pay proceeds from the sale of the consigned merchandise as stated in the Terms & Conditions. Payments will be processed only as a Mall Gift Card upon seller's request. The seller can make a request for payout when the sale is finalized and the item has passed the return period.
The Luxury Closet processes payments on the 5th day of every month for payments requested from the 1st through the 15th day of the previous month and on the 20th day of every month for payments requested from the 16th day through the last day of the previous month. If 5th and/or 20th of the month fall on a weekend or bank holiday, payments will be processed on the following business day.
How do I get paid?
Payments are processed in - MAF Mall Gift Card (each gift card can be loaded with a max of AED 3,500, payments higher than this value will be split over multiple cards
Sellers may view their accounts and under the "My Items" section, there's a tab named "Sold", where items that are being ordered, sold and paid are all listed. Once the item moves to the “Payment Ready” section where you may request for payment and it shall be processed as a Mall gift Card only.
What is a Consignment period?
A consignment period is a minimum lock-in period during which the item(s) remains listed with the Luxury Closet. It is 90 days for the sellers based in the UAE and 180 days for sellers outside of the UAE. After the consignment period is over, you may request a withdrawal of your unsold item(s) free of charge.
Can I get my items back before the Consignment period is over?
The Luxury Closet does not normally endorse withdrawal requests from sellers during the minimum consignment period. However, the withdrawal of an item that did not fulfill the minimum consignment period can be done after a waiting period of 10 days with a charge of USD 20 plus shipping fees, borne by the Seller.
On what grounds can my items be rejected?
The Luxury Closet does not accept items under the following conditions:
1. Counterfeits/Questionable Authenticity
2. Severely damaged
3. Majorly discoloured/faded
4. Missing parts (chain, zip, buckle, embellishment...etc)
5. Missing hallmarks
6. Bad odour/hygiene
7. Security tags attached
