City Centre Mirdif’s ‘Outdoors’ is back for another season with more street food stalls and adventure-filled activities to celebrate the cooler weather

It’s time to bring out those light cardigans, boots and indulge in fun social activities with family and friends outdoors. This season, there’s no better place to get into the spirit of togetherness and make unforgettable memories than at the new and transformed ‘Outdoors’ – the exciting food and leisure destination by City Centre Mirdif.

Back by popular demand for another year, the vibrant space has become a prominent feature of Dubai’s winter events calendar with a plethora of activities, from daily movie nights and obstacles courses to sampling street food from around the world, all in one destination.

The concept has been divided into two themed versions of ‘Outdoors’, each representing the changing seasons. Having started with a celebration of the festive season in December last year, ‘Winter Wonderland’ was developed to evoke a feeling of a white alpine vacation until January 14. Following that, City Centre Mirdif has re-launched ‘Outdoors’, a space that transports visitors to the Amazonian jungle with active games and entertainment until March 9.

Get ready for an adrenaline-fuelled time at ‘Outdoors’. Escape into the stunning wilderness as the space transforms into a jungle with towering palm trees, low hanging vines and tigers and hippopotamus sculptures all around for that game reserve vibe.

Kids can get active and make friends in the free-play jungle-themed course fitted with monkey bars and a tyre obstacle course. Families can spend quality time together and test their concentration and physical skill in the life-size Jenga and Connect 4 games or get adventurous to make it an action-packed outing with friends by getting on the uniquely designed ad hoc ice-skating rink. Millennials have a chance to go wild and pose for over-the-top photos and capture the perfect shot of their finger-licking food choices at the Insta-station, while youngsters can challenge themselves to arcade games in the Magic Planet zone.

Food lovers will find plenty of inviting street food to devour at ‘Outdoors’. Mr Brisket’s food truck will be serving sliders and cheesy fries while those looking for comfort food can head to PappaRoti for crispy and buttery coffee flavoured buns paired with a hot beverage. Ask Italian gelato place Amorino to shape your ice cream scoop into a rose or get the decadent, chocolate-dripping cramalised waffles from Yummy Waffles for an enviable Instagram post. Chili’s will pop up to satisfy different tastes with a special menu of drinks, salads and craft burgers at ‘Outdoors’, as well.

City Centre Mirdif is also hosting movie nights and live music for residents and tourists to sit back, dine and have a magical escape right here in the city.  Families can enjoy free movies in the outdoor amphitheatre, with favourites like Kung Fu Panda 3, Cars 3, Frozen, The Lion King and La La Land scheduled daily from 4pm.
